Last night the annual BET Awards took place in the city of stars, Los Angeles, Ca. And all our fav’s came out to represent the culture of black music and entertainment.
Things sizzled from the red (actually grey) carpet, to the main stage.
There was no shortage of fashion moments. From the likes of Carbi B. to Lil Mama to La La Anthony, and everyone in between.
Actress Garcelle Beauvais kept things affordable in this Missguided frock that retails for only $240!! Gotta love. You can grab it right here.
While everyone stood out in their own right, there was one trend that was definitely repeated often: The blonde bob.
Rocked by Cardi B, Blacc Chyna, Kat Graham, Tamar Braxton, Karrueche, the blonde bob took home the award for most worn hairstyle, for sure!
If we had to choose, we’d say Cardi rocked the hairstyle best. Although, we might be a bit biased (Bx stand up!!!)
Speaking of bombshell reality stars, there was no shortage of reality TV starlets. From Tammy Rivera, who kept it cute and casual in a wide leg white pant, polka dot white silk blouse, both Diane Von Furstenberg, and a saucy red lip; to fellow Love and Hip Hop Atlanta co star, Tommie, who went for a more risque look in a sheer dress (no coverage on the boobies) and long blonde pig tales. Also on hand was new mom and reality show vixen Joseline Hernandez, who clearly has snapped back.
While some looks were either really casual or really risque there were those few fav’s who manage to find the perfect balance of lady-like demur and sass:
How can we not discuss Remy Ma’s beaded blue fringed dress; a Karen Sabag number (same designer that transformed Rem into a princess for this years Grammys). I almost shed a tear. (More on Rem later)
La La, La La!!! All I can say is perfection. The dress , the messy high pony. The glam inspired dress is by designer Thai Nguyen Atelier. All we can say is DETAILS baby.
And then there was LeToya Luckett, who wore a floral flowy dress with leather details and a train that did not end!!
Not to be out done by the ladies, the fellas also came to kill em.
Future, gave me all the feels with the Mask On look he shared with his daughter. (love love love)
And Big Sean crushed the competition in a red crushed velvet casual joggers and matching jacket.
But it was The Migos and French Montana that let their feminine side shine in the floral.
#BlackLove was also in the air:
Big Sean and Jhene Aiko
Keyshia Ka’oir And Gucci:
And of course our fave #blacklove couple, Remy and Papoose:
The most talked about performance has certainly been the Xscape performance; in which, Kandi, Tiny and the other two ladies gave us all the nostalgia feels.
Then there was Mary J Blige. She made it clear that you gotta love yourself, before you love somebody else.
